The shotgun Blog: Gilles Taillon says "The Tories made me resign!"

Following an article by Hugh MacIntyre posted on November 12, 2009 (Shotgun Blog) at http://bit.ly/2uslIR

Taillon sees ghosts everywhere just because he can't explain himself why he's asked to step down.
Reality in situ is: it wasn't a Conservative conspiracy but the disgruntlement of the ADQ membership to the policies of Taillon, which is not considered everybody's leader.
What made ADQ members mad was that right wing, clearly defined positions were diluted just before the last election, just to be inclusive with more centre-wing - even centre-left-wing - followers. The population viewed that move as a denyal of the original goals. As if the ADQ suddenly switched personality to please a larger array of voters.
Then, Caire's followers denounced Taillon's policies. Taillon then lost the election in his riding (in the Gatineau area). Mario Dumont stepped down and Caire adepts feared that Taillon would put the ADQ more out of focus. Exactly what happened. So Cairists jumped from the sinking boat, including two MNAs: Caire himself and fellow Picard.
Asked to step down, Taillon is just mad and shooting all over.
The crowning of Gérard Deltell would be a complete change of engine in this accidented car. I believe there is no unrepairable structure damage, only crinkled tin.
